![]() ![]() I'm not saying it because oh no the anime games (I couldn't care less for some of them) I'm just like where is the line/fairness it makes no sense to me. 1s freely, harm NPCs in such a way let alone whatever darker stuff is possible in the games I have no idea and other more cruder things yet we can't get some anime games with certain ideas/themes and far tamer than Postal series content standards. Postal 4 with as much dialogue, interactions to if still possible do No. I mean Microsoft and Sony can both be particular about their image/what content is present on their platforms and that's totally fine and well ratings and such too but I mean seriously? ![]() I'm sorry but 2016+ Sony stops Japanese devs with far less content that's less offensive or particular presentation or 'interactivity' than the Postal series has ever had of interactions the player can do to NPCs or in general of mechanics, themes, dialogue and more and yet it ends up on their console in 2023? WTF Sony and their double standards. Prevention/censorship or whatever sure but I mean huh. I can understand why Microsoft is being particular, it's not a game I care for anyway but even still. ![]() How, Why? What universe am I in? Sony's rules and policies make no sense. Like we haven't even seen half the stuff the PS2 had even these days. XD The western devs can get away with it but the Japanese devs with far tamer content than the Postal series ever had has pushing the bar of such possibilities in games of such dark or crude content. Well so much for Sony's standards on content in third parties it's a whenever they feel like it basis apparently. This game I'd have assumed unrate-able or Adults Only which isn't that not allowed on console? Maybe it was toned down?īut even still. I thought it would stay PC only these days because of Sony and Microsoft's standards and ratings of content on their platforms. I have no interest in the series but I mean when you research things you go oh that's a thing and see all the sequels or spinoffs somehow when browsing developers or publishers in the weird ways I do and go well it's for looking around at what games exist out there crude or tame. I knew of 1 and 2, 3 and 4 I only stumbled upon via wikipedia or videos. Surprised it's even on PlayStation at all. Obviously there are some disgruntled fans of the game who are now tagging the likes of Xbox boss Phil Spencer on Twitter in the hopes of remedying the situation, but considering Postal has never made an appearance on any Xbox console, a release for Postal 4: No Regerts seems pretty unlikely at this point. The team went on to explain that the reason Postal 4 isn't on Xbox is because it "doesn't fit their library". The ball is on Microsoft's court right now, not ours. We've tried and we've mentioned this many times. We've heard this before, but it's been cropping up again this week thanks to a response from the game's development studio (Running With Scissors) after an Xbox fan criticised the continual lack of an Xbox version: No, we didn't leave Xbox players, Microsoft left YOU by not accepting our games in their platform. It's now been close to a year since Postal 4: No Regerts was released on the PS4 and PS5, but we've never heard anything concrete about an Xbox version - and that's apparently because Microsoft doesn't want it on the platform. ![]()
